Who are we?
- AMANDLA sees itself as a catalyst for social change on a global scale. We have a base in both South Africa and Germany and currently employ 30 people. Florian Zech founded AMANDLA in 2007 with a team of local and international volunteers. He worked and lived for a year in an orphanage in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, as part of his civil service. During this time Florian personally experienced the desperate need for education and leisure activities in areas facing the challenges of poverty, unemployment and inequality. Together with young people from Khayelitsha he developed the AMANDLA idea.
