Who are we?
- From the beginning, the foundation has adopted a clearly articulated, people-centred developmental approach. The Foundation funds projects that empower impoverished and disadvantaged communities, uplifting their standards of living and equipping them to enter the mainstream economy. The Foundation works with small grassroots structures and community-based organizations. The Foundation also works with other relevant stakeholder like government departments and other NGO's. The Foundation recognizes that communities are best placed to determine their own development needs and priorities and therefore does not prescribe to projects, but provides the guidance necessary to achieve the community's own goals. The main criteria is that the projects should be community-based and be registered as a non-profit organization. The projects should already be in existence.
